Our contribution to the environment

What is the One Tree Planted organization?
As an environmental organization, the One Tree Planted organization is committed to enabling individuals and companies to contribute to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and support reforestation worldwide. Since 2014, the organization has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year. All by planting trees!
Does Black Label Coffee plant the trees itself?
Yes and no. Because we don't actually plant the trees ourselves, but finance their planting, which our partner organization One Tree Planted, a renowned environmental and non-profit organization from the USA, does for us. In other words, we serve as a transmitter, because you actually finance the tree - we donate 10% of our profit to the "one tree planted organization", which uses it to plant trees worldwide. We make this contribution voluntarily in order to promote tree planting projects and thus give something back to our beloved nature and counteract climate change.

Paperless ordering process
It would be counterproductive if you wanted to plant a tree with an order from Black Label Coffee, but cut it down again to print the invoice. That's why we simply do away with paper invoices altogether. The paper for your invoice is completely eliminated, as it is only sent by email or offered for download.
Creating new homes for wild animals
Restoring these areas also means rebalancing wildlife habitats and creating healthy ecosystems that can withstand climate change. This is crucial as these areas are considered biodiversity hotspots.
Protection of endangered species
Reforestation efforts help native vegetation to regrow, improve soil quality, prevent erosion and control invasive species - which can be particularly aggressive after forest fires without intervention.
We plant forests
Trees help to cool the planet by absorbing and storing harmful greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide in their trunks, branches and leaves and releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere. In cities, trees can reduce the overall temperature by up to eight degrees Celsius. With more than 50% of the world's population living in cities - a figure expected to rise to 66% by 2050 - pollution and overheating are becoming a real threat. Fortunately, a mature tree can absorb an average of 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year, making cities a healthier and safer place to live.
